Job Opportunity: Full Time Medical Writer, The Med Writers, United States (Remote)
A small medical writing company is looking for a doctorate-level writer with a medical or biomedical degree, and above-average writing skills who is looking for a long-term job to call home. This position is flexible and can be part-time or full-time depending on your availability.
We write for medical, scientific, educated and non-educated audiences, and do all types of marketing and technical writing projects. The most common types of projects include:
- Web content
- Articles
- Blog posts
- White papers
- Journal articles/manuscripts
- Grant proposals
One of the many projects that you may be assigned to is writing for a lay audience on dermatology topics so any experience in that area is a plus. We prefer that you have taken journalism classes since we find writers with journalism training write more effectively for a general audience.
This is a telecommuting position, where you work from home. You must have your own computer with Internet access, Microsoft Word. We communicate via email, text, phone and other online means. Our writers meet once a week at 11:30 AM Eastern for those who are available to share medical writing tips. After you write and submit assignments, we will send back an edited version showing you corrections so you can learn and improve your writing.

Requirements

• Available for part-time or full-time telecommute writing position
• Must have a biology, medical or related Bachelor’s degree
• Must have or be working on a Master, PhD, MD, PharmD or similar medical/biomedical degree (or science writing degree)
• Have some writing samples to show or be willing to do a writing test.

• Available to write for at least a few hours a week
