Apply for 2023 Michelson Prizes: Next Generation Grants.
The Michelson Prizes are awarded annually by Michelson Medical Research Foundation and the Human Immunome Project to support early-career investigators working to advance human immunology, vaccine discovery, and immunotherapy research for major global diseases.
We are looking for bold research concepts that challenge the status quo and could have a lasting impact on vaccine and immunotherapy discovery. A distinguished committee of internationally recognized scientists will identify the most innovative research proposals. Investigators 35 years and younger from a broad range of disciplines are encouraged to apply.
“It is beyond difficult for young scientists to get funding to conduct their own research and to pursue out-of-the-box, potentially high-risk, high-reward ideas that will disrupt the status quo. The Michelson Prizes are changing this dynamic,” says Dr. Gary K. Michelson, founder and co-chair of Michelson Philanthropies and the Michelson Medical Research Foundation. “I look forward to seeing how the next group of research proposals will contribute to our understanding of the human immune system,” adds Dr. Wayne Koff, president and CEO of the Human Immunome Project.
