The CDC Arctic Investigation Program is hiring a Laboratory Team Lead position (GS0403-14 Microbiologist – Lead) here in Anchorage. CDC AIP consists of approximately 30-35 full-time staff and includes a laboratory, biostatistics, information management, epidemiology and administrative teams. Our mission statement is to prevent infectious disease in people of the Arctic and sub-Arctic. We place a special emphasis on diseases of high incidence and concern among indigenous communities. We conduct surveillance, research, response, and clinical work in collaboration with our partners. The AIP Laboratory team conducts a wide variety of testing that includes general immunology, molecular diagnostics, whole genome sequencing, bacteriology, and much more! This position requires supervisory and leadership experience in a laboratory setting.
