Be a Scientist on Site at the Adventure Science Center
The Adventure Science Center is gathering a cohort of STEM professionals for their “Scientist on Site” Program. This program was created to connect guests with local STEM professionals to foster enthusiasm for all aspects of science, technology, engineering, and math.
This is a year-long commitment, with a two month training period, followed by at least 3 public programs (of your choice) here at Adventure Science Center.
One of the most exciting parts of this program is a built-in mentorship with our dedicated high school volunteers. As a team, scientists and local high-schoolers will create a hands-on activity to demonstrate concepts behind their current research, which they’ll share with the public to encourage discussion and learning.
If you are interested in being a part of this exciting program, please complete an application at Scientist on Site Application or contact Rachel Woods for more information! If you’re interested in volunteering, but with a little less commitment, the Center has lots of other opportunities – email the Volunteer Coordinator, Elisabeth McClain, at volunteer@adventuresci.org.
