NCI posts new funding announcement for K99/R00 awards
The NIH’s National Cancer Institute (NCI) posted new Funding Opportunity Announcements for NCI Pathway to Independence Awards for Outstanding Early Stage Postdoctoral Researchers (K99/R00) (Clinical Trial Not Allowed and Clinical Trial Required). While the objective remains similar to the NIH parent award, the NCI-specific awards have some key differences, such as “applicants must have no more than 2 years [rather than 4 years] of postdoctoral research experience as of the application due date.” Applications are due February 26, and letters of intent are due 30 days prior.
