I remember starting at Vanderbilt and hearing over and over: "We don't just want to train doctors, we want to train physician leaders." I decided to buy into this vision and internalize it during my training and education. I am so glad I did. For the open-minded student, Vanderbilt is so much more than a medical school. It is a community, it is an unmatchable culture, it is humble, and it is powerfully strong. Throughout campus, positivity and wellness feed into our success. I never imagined I would enjoy medical school so much, meet so many great mentors, share so many happy days with my classmates, and experience the personal growth I did that will help me better serve the world, one team and one community at at time.

I have roamed this hospital both as a medical student and patient, during which time I was taken care of by very capable colleagues. Now I am excited to call this place my home for three more years as a resident in internal medicine.

I think Vanderbilt University School of Medicine was an innovative place to get my medical training, and the new Curriculum 2.0 attracted me here. At the end of my four years here, I feel extraordinarily prepared to manage complicated patients because of the extra time we spent in the hospital and clinics. I will certainly miss the wonderful professors, attendings, fellows, residents, and interns I have gotten to know, as well as my classmates, and I am so grateful for everything they have taught me that has helped craft the person I am today.
