Hello! I’m Brian, and I love Nashville. Having gone to Vanderbilt for undergrad, I loved my time in the city and so wanted to stay. Luckily, Vanderbilt University School of Medicine has the best curriculum out there. Here, we prepare for successful careers while opening our minds to the latest developments in medicine and health care. As we think more broadly about what we can do for our communities in medicine, I’ve had a chance to volunteer at Shade Tree Clinic, our free clinic for Nashville’s uninsured, underinsured, and housing insecure populations. I’ve also been part of Best Buddies, connecting with adults with intellectual and developmental disabilities. We form one-to-one friendships with our buddies and advocate for a more supportive, accepting society to recognize their unique abilities. They will make us better, more understanding physicians!
