Hello there! I’m Jeffanie, and I’m really passionate about medicine. I came to Vanderbilt excited to start building my career, really from Day One. Here, we start seeing patients on our clinical rotations in our second year following the Year 1 preclinical curriculum. I also chose Vandy because I love research, and I thought it was amazing that research is incorporated into the curriculum. VUSM has a lot of support for people who love research, including a paid research year out through the Medical Scholars Program. We have room to build the careers we want as physicians and researchers. I’m involved with the Careers in Medicine student organization, where I serve as ENT Interest Group Leader. I’ve also been involved with the Medicine & Business Society and AMA/TMA, the Vanderbilt University Chapter of the American Medical Association and Tennessee Medical Association. We really have room to connect with other professionals and start building networks early on.

Fun fact about me: If I could only eat one meal for the rest of my life, I’d have to say sushi.
