VOISCE (Vanderbilt Organization for Interprofessional Student Community Engagement) provides Vanderbilt professional students a multidisciplinary platform from which innovative healthcare solutions can be launched that focus on community healthcare and outreach. This organization is comprised of the medical, nursing, law, and business schools.

Each semester, we aim to come up with a multi-disciplinary community engagement project purposed to serve the surrounding Nashville community. Previous projects include health screenings with both business and law school advice tables at the Divine Arts Café. Other monthly and quarterly projects include health screenings at the Nashville Mission center downtown.

In addition to our community projects, each of the schools represented by VOISCE put together a semester lecture series featuring guest lecturers from both on and off campus based on one central yearly theme. This year’s theme has focused on women’s health.

VOISCE is a young and growing student organization that unique involves multiple schools across the Vanderbilt campus. We would love to have new and incoming students be a part of this great initiative.
