Tri Do

Graduate Student, Knollmann Laboratory

I grew up in Ha Noi, Vietnam, and moved to Nashville for my undergraduate education and received Doctor of Pharmacy degree from Lipscomb University. Before joining the pharmacology program at Vanderbilt, I spent 2 years rotating at Akers, Crouch, and Knollmann lab. My project involves studying the calcium handling in ryanodine receptor type 2 (RyR2), which has been implicated in various arrhythmias, and developing novel chemical entities that can potentially be used to treat arrhythmias. Outside school, I enjoy reading, movies, and martial arts.

Research interests: cardiac electrophysiology, drug metabolism and pharmacokinetics, and drug discovery and development.
