Job Opportunity: Program manager at HHMI
The SPM is responsible for managing the Graduate and Undergraduate Scholar Programs as well as providing scientific education and mentoring. In this key position, the SPM recruits undergraduate and graduate students, publicizes the programs, evaluates candidates, manages the admission process, establishes relationships and maintains communication with partner universities, oversees program budgets, and tracks student progress. The SPM also organizes training courses geared toward students and other scientific staff. The ideal candidate has a PhD and at least three years of post-doctoral training in an area of science relevant to Janelia’s research. More senior candidates with experience developing/teaching courses and mentoring students are encouraged to apply.
