Presidential Management Fellows program to add pilot STEM track

Posted by on Wednesday, September 18, 2013 in Uncategorized .

It was created more than three decades ago by Executive Order. Historically, the PMF program was designed for public policy students, but PMF opened to all degree programs in 1982. In 2010, the program changed again to allow applications both from graduate students who will finish their advanced degree in the upcoming academic year, as well as from recent alumni who completed their advanced degree training in the previous two years.

NEW for the 2014 academic year, the PMF program will pilot a “STEM track” specifically for applicants who will receive, or who recently received, a graduate degree in a STEM field.

The anticipated application period for the 2014 PMF program is October 1-15, 2013. The PMF program will accept applications from 1) graduate students from any academic discipline who expects to complete an advanced degree during the academic year (September 1, 2013 – August 31, 2014) and from 2) those who completed an advanced degree fno more than 2 years prior to the opening date of the PMF Program’s announcement. Candidates must receive their degree from an accredited college or university. Non-US citizens are only eligible to apply for the program in very limited cases.

Visit the PMF program website for more information on the application and assessment process. We will announce on our blog when the application period officially opens!
