As a part of the ongoing efforts by the India Alliance to encourage Clinical and Public health research in India, the Wellcome Trust/DBT India Alliance have come up with two initiatives; 1) Two Year Research Training Fellowships for Clinicians, and 2) Early, Intermediate and Senior Fellowship schemes for Clinicians and Public Health researchers. (Separate Competition) 

Both the competitions launched on 1 January 2014.
