Job Opportunity: Program Officer for Science and Research Policy

The Infectious Diseases Society of America (IDSA; www.idsociety.org), a national medical association representing more than 10,000 infectious diseases physicians/scientists involved in research, prevention, and treatment of infectious diseases is seeking an exceptional candidate to serve as our Program Officer for Science and Research Policy. Position serves as lead policy and programmatic staff for biomedical and regulatory science policy activities and staffs our Diagnostics Task Force and Research Committee. The successful candidate will work with IDSA leaders and staff to identify issues and activities, establish priorities and advance strategies.  Key policy issues will include advancing diagnostics research, development and appropriate use; regulatory oversight of research; expanding research funding for IDSA priorities; and others.  

The ideal candidate will be a self-starter and possess 4-5 years related experience and an advanced degree in a related field.
