FACULTY POSITION in Infectious Disease Research
University of Nebraska Medical Center

ASSOCIATE or FULL PROFESSOR focused on pathogenesis of bacterial infection, with special emphasis on virulence factors required for infection. Priority for investigators interested in Gram-positive pathogens and/or select agents, and experience in vaccine development. Successful candidate will have a track record of extramural funding, publications and original concepts. Appointee will possess a strong commitment to collaborative approaches to research and will participate in the academic missions of the department, including graduate teaching in host-pathogen interactions and mentoring of students and postdoctoral fellows. Applicants must have a Ph.D., M.D., or equivalent degree, and research experience in bacterial genetics and pathogenesis.
