Job Opportunity: Research Instructor, Thomas Jefferson University
The Holinstat lab at Thomas Jefferson University is currently seeking a research instructor (faculty-level research position) to conduct in vivo and in vitro hemostasis and thrombosis research. The Holinstat lab is located within the Cardeza Foundation for Hematologic Research at Thomas Jefferson University in Philadelphia, PA. The position involves investigations into 12-lipoxygenase function in the platelet and its role in the regulation of platelet function, hemostasis, and thrombosis. The applicant should have successfully attained a 1) PhD, 2) MD, or 3) MD/PhD. The Cardeza Foundation affords the applicant the ability to work in an open-lab environment with access to a large range of the state-of-the-art equipment in order to gain a greater understanding of hemostasis and thrombosis in the in vivo and in vitro setting in both human and mouse models. The position will be to work on and oversee several of the NIH-funded projects within the lab, write manuscripts, participate in grant-writing, and oversee junior researchers in the lab group. The position is available beginning 07/01/2014.
