A tenure-track Associate Professor position is available to strengthen our efforts in neuroscience research on topics broadly related to cancer survivors such as chronic pain, stress, and neuro-endocrine disorders. Candidates must have an outstanding publication record and expertise in genomics (non-coding RNA, siRNA screening, and microRNA), neurophysiology, and imaging. The incumbent will be responsible for establishing his/her own independent program funded by extramural grants. Preference will be given to candidates with NIH funding and a highly productive record of innovative research and collaborations in the areas of protein interactions, signal transduction, neuronal and synaptic imaging, and synaptic plasticity.  This position offers highly competitive salary and start-up packages, outstanding scientific resources, and unique opportunities to interact with other neuroscientists in the Texas Medical Center.
