The Department of Anesthesiology at Texas Tech University Health Sciences Center, Lubbock, Texas invites application for outstanding faculty candidates at all ranks (Assistant, Associate, Full Professor). Successful candidates will demonstrate the ability in cardiovascular research with extramurally funded research program. We are specifically looking for investigators with NIH funded research program in ischemia-reperfusion injury, myocardial infarction, atherosclerosis, hypertension and/or vascular biology. The successful candidate will contribute to our core research program in cardiovascular disease and heart failure research, and will be a part of expanding cardiovascular research center. Minimum degree requirements are a Ph.D or MD with appropriate postdoctoral training with outstanding publication record.

Competitive start up package is available, and commensurate with level of experience. The Texas Tech University Health Sciences Center is currently expanding the research endeavor with several new faculty recruitments in biochemistry, pharmacology, neurosciences and cardiovascular sciences. State-of-the art core imaging center and molecular biology center is available for immediate research use.

Lubbock is the home to about 45,000 enrolled students in undergraduate, graduate, medical, nursing, allied health sciences, engineering and law schools.  Lubbock is the largest city in West Texas with a moderate climate and low cost of living.
