Placement Range: $38,500 – $45,740

General Description: A faculty member is primarily responsible for supporting student learning by providing quality instruction in courses that the faculty member and the dean agree will be taught. Quality instruction includes clear course objectives, prepared and relevant class activities, effective and understandable presentations of learning materials, fair and understandable grading practices, timely responses to students, and a positive atmosphere in the classroom.

Minimum Education/Experience: Master’s degree with at least 18 graduate hours in the Biological Sciences. Available to teach day and evening classes.

Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities: Available to teach day and evening classes. Positive human relations skills and communication skills. Support and willingness to teach in competency based instructional system. Knowledge of competency based education. Teaching experience in Biology, Microbiology, Cell Biology & Anatomy, or related Life Sciences discipline.
