Job Opportunity: Assistant Professor of Behavioral Neuroscience, Miami University, Oxford OH

The Department of Psychology at Miami University seeks to hire an outstanding candidate for a tenure-track position in Behavioral Neuroscience at the level of Assistant Professor to start August 2015. The candidate should have a Ph.D. and postdoctoral experience, promise toward developing a strong research and publication record, a strong commitment to both graduate and undergraduate training, and the ability to teach graduate and undergraduate courses in Behavioral Neuroscience. Research interests should focus on examining the neurobiology of behavior at the molecular, cellular, and/or systems levels using animal models, and complement existing departmental interests in learning & memory, emotion, decision making, development, mental health, substance abuse, and psychoneuroimmunology. Successful candidate is expected to teach graduate and undergraduate courses in Behavioral Neuroscience, develop and maintain an active research program and provide service to the University. Miami University has a modern Psychology building, state-of-the-art animal research facilities, and a strong collaborative program between the Psychology and Biology departments, including an interdisciplinary minor in Neuroscience.
