Apply by June 2 for the VU Summer Intensive for Enrepreneurship and Commercialization

This summer, the BRET Office of Career Development is offering a pilot short course for biomedical postdocs and graduate students interested in learning fundamental business principles of commercializing a scientific innovation.

The 2015 Summer Intensive for Entrepreneurship and Commercialization will run Mondays and Thursdays from June 22-August 3. Course participants who will break into teams and develop a technology commercialization proposal and investment pitch. The course is ideal for trainees who want an introduction to the "language" of business, and trainees who are interested in entrepreneurship or academic innovation, or a career in start-ups, technology transfer, business or consulting.

Thanks to a grant from the Burroughs Wellcome Fund, this pilot course will be FREE for trainees. A course syllabus and application information is available on the course website.

This course is limited to 20 participants, so applications are required and due by next Tuesday, June 2. See the course website for more information.
