Volunteer Opportunity in Advocacy for the Alzheimer’s Association Mid-South Chapter

Posted by on Tuesday, July 28, 2015 in Uncategorized .

Would you like to assist the Alzheimer’s Association in building a relationship with Congressman Jim Cooper and his staff throughout the year, as well as educating them on the foundation’s federal priorities?

The Mid-South Chapter of the Alzheimer’s Association is head-quartered in Nashville, TN and has Advocacy Ambassadors assigned to our Tennessee Legislators.  Dr. Eric Hustedt, Professor of Molecular Physiology and Biophysics at Vanderbilt University, is currently serving as the ambassador to Congressman Cooper and is seeking to grow his Alzheimer’s Congressional Team (ACT). Volunteers will have the opportunity to write briefing memos and letters to the editor at various news and media outlets, help with social media content development and dissimination, and visit Congressman Cooper to share talking points and priorities from the Alzheimer’s Association.

If you live in Congressman Cooper’s (5th) district and have an interest in supporting the Alzheimer’s Association through advocacy efforts, please send an email to Ashley Brady at ashley.brady@vanderbilt.edu to let us know of your interest.
