Cover Image Fall 2015.JPGDo you enjoy making figures for all of your lab colleagues?  Do you have an eye for designing attention-grabbing power point slides and posters?  Would you like to improve your skills and versatility by learning Adobe InDesign while also helping to create a tangible product for your portfolio?

The BRET Office of Career Development is seeking a volunteer Layout Editor to assist in the preparation and publication of the biannual newsletter, "Results and Discussion".  This newsletter highlights research accomplishments of BRET graduate students and postdoctoral fellows and features stories on activities and resources available to BRET trainees.

We are seeking a motivated and organized graduate student or postdoctoral fellow who has a strong interest in learning and becoming more proficient in Adobe InDesign. This individual will work closely with the current Co-Editor-in-Chief to learn how to use the Adobe InDesign program to do layout and design for the Spring 2016 issue.

We would like to find someone who could begin working with us immediately on the April 2016 issue as a training period with the idea of taking over the Co-Editor-in-Chief position in May for production of the October 2016 issue.

The newsletter is published in print and electronically in April and October each year.  It is distributed to current trainees and faculty, families of trainees, as well as alumni of the BRET program and various community partners.

Please contact Ashley Brady at ashley.brady@vanderbilt.edu if you are interested in learning more about this exciting opportunity to put your graphic design and visual communication skills to work.
