Volunteer Opportunity: Judge for the Middle Tennessee Science and Engineering Fair, Nashville, TN

The 64th Middle Tennessee Science and Engineering Fair will take place at Belmont’s Wedgewood Academic Center on March 18.  The MTSEF is affiliated with the Intel International Science and Engineering Fair and its two grand prize winners will go to compete at ISEF in May.  

The judging for the Science Fair will be held on Friday, March 18 between 5:30 p.m. and 8:30 p.m. in the Wedgewood Academic Center’s conference center on Belmont's campus.  Students are invited to be at their exhibits between 6:30 p.m. and 8:00 p.m. that evening.  Refreshments will be provided for the sponsors and judges (likely sub sandwiches) from 5:30 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. and each judge will receive a commemorative t-shirt!

If you are willing to participate as a judge at MTSEF, please go to the categories link below and reply to Steve Murphree (steve.murphree@belmont.edu) to indicate the area you would be willing to judge. 

  • The 6th, 7th and 8th grade projects are not judged by category but last year there were entries in: Animal Science (Zoology), Behavioral & Social Science, Biochemistry, Cellular & Molecular Biology, Chemistry, Computer Science, Energy & Transportation, Engineering, Environmental Sciences & Management, Mathematical Sciences, Medicine & Health, Microbiology and Physics & Astronomy.
