Are you interested in gaining college teaching experience?  There is an immediate need for graduate students and/or postdocs to serve as adjunct professors in the College of Science and Mathematics at Austin Peay State University for the 2016-2017 school year. 

APSU is a public university with over 10,000 students focused on the individualized needs of our students. Even as a public school we pride ourselves on offering smaller class sizes, fostering faculty/student relationships and offering unique opportunities that may not be available for students at other Universities. APSU is located in Clarksville, TN, just 50 miles northwest of Nashville and Vanderbilt's campus.

As an adjunct at APSU you will have full responsibility for the course you are teaching.

DETAILS

  • Paid opportunity to gain valuable experience in teaching undergraduate courses
  • APSU prides itself on small classes of 24-40 students
  • Receive mentorship from established faculty members.
  • All courses and lab sections are team taught, so you will be provided all necessary materials including syllabi, lecture slides and handouts to guide you as needed.
  • Design exams and grade coursework with the support of established faculty
  • No required office hours
