Insight Health Data Science Fellows Program accepting applications now
The Insight Health Data Science Fellows Program is adding a new session in Silicon Valley, starting on September 12, 2016.
The Insight Health Data Science program was launched in Boston in Summer 2015. 100% of the Fellows from that first session have accepted data science positions at companies and nonprofits including the Broad Institute, Dana Farber, Seven Bridges Genomics, Biogen, AthenaHealth, Foundation Medicine, and startups such as Tamr, Constant Therapy, and Immuneering. Building on the success of the Boston program, we are excited to help Insight Fellows on the West Coast enter this emerging specialization of data science in life sciences, medicine, and healthcare.
The Silicon Valley Health Data Science Fellowship will be a free 7-week full-time postdoctoral data science training program, with dedicated office space and self-directed, project-based learning under the guidance of industry leaders. Data scientists from Novartis, Seven Bridges, Jawbone, Fitbit, Grand Rounds, Trace Genomics, and more will be working with Fellows and hiring from the program. As an Insight Fellow, you will join a network of over 500 data science and engineering alumni working on the East and West Coasts, many of whom are now leading data teams.
Successful Fellows will have MDs or PhDs in fields such as bioinformatics, genomics, computer science, physics, math, engineering, or other quantitative fields. We’re looking for Fellows who have experience working with data in their research and a passion for solving problems in the healthcare industry.
