Assistant Professor in Biochemistry.

Fisk University (www.fisk.edu) invites applications for an assistant professor in biochemistry and molecular biology, tenure-track, with demonstrated potential for excellence in student-centered undergraduate teaching and for developing a research program capable of attracting external funding and  resulting in peer-reviewed publications with undergraduate co-authors. The faculty member also will serve as a mentor in the nationally recognized Fisk-Vanderbilt Master’s to PhD Bridge Program. A Ph.D. in biochemistry or a related field with postdoctoral research training is required.   Biochemists examining molecular mechanisms in cellular or organismal contexts by complementing laboratory-based research with computational, modeling, or large-scale data approaches are particularly encouraged to apply.
