Tenure Track Assistant Professor in Computational Biology

Fisk University (www.fisk.edu) invites applications for an assistant professor in computational biology, tenure track, with demonstrated potential for excellence in student-centered undergraduate teaching and for developing a research program capable of attracting external funding and publishing peer-reviewed papers with undergraduate co-authors. The faculty member also will serve as a mentor in the nationally recognized Fisk-Vanderbilt Master’s to PhD Bridge Program. A Ph.D. and training that embraces both biological and computational sciences is required, and postdoctoral training is optimal. This faculty role will include teaching as well as research expectations, with earliest teaching expectations to introduce computational approaches into genetics and related courses.

Application materials should include the applicant’s Curriculum Vitae, Research Plan, and Teaching Philosophy as well as three letters of recommendation. All materials should be provided electronically to Dr. Lee E Limbird, PhD, (llimbird@fisk.edu), Search Committee Chair.

Fisk University is an Equal Opportunity Employer. Applications are being considered immediately; the position is available as early as January 2018.
