Save the Date! 2018 Vanderbilt Three Minute Thesis (3MT) Competition, Friday March 23rd

Posted by on Wednesday, January 10, 2018 in Announcements .

Three Minute Thesis (3MT®) is a research communication competition developed by The University of Queensland (Australia) which challenges students to present a compelling oration on their research and its significance in just three minutes in language appropriate to a non-specialist audience.

At Vanderbilt, participants must be at least in their 2nd year of Graduate School (pursuing research-based degrees: PhD, MS/MA/MFA). The research should be the applicant’s original research and be more extensive than a course-assigned project.

After the initial application, students will submit a 3MT title (created for a broad-based audience–not your research title) and a single, static PowerPoint slide
