BIOINFORMATICS RESEARCH ANALYST – MICROBIOME AND GENOME ASSEMBLY

Seattle-based Phase Genomics is seeking a bioinformatician with excellent analytical skills to drive bioinformatics research projects across a variety of biological areas. Phase Genomics is a fast-growing startup with the leading bioinformatics platform for applying chromatin conformation data (Hi-C) to a wide range of disciplines including microbiome, agriculture, and human genetics.

POSITION

We are seeking an organized, talented bioinformatician with a proven track record in genome assembly, metagenomic assembly, biological data science, or related areas. The chosen candidate will be responsible for performing bioinformatics analyses using our entire scientific toolset, particularly in the fields of chromosome-scale genome scaffolding and metagenomic deconvolution using Hi-C and similar chromatin conformation data. They will also be responsible for developing new bioinformatics tools in these areas and for participating in R&D discussions and experimental planning with members of our wetlab team and other computational team members.

Seattle-based Phase Genomics is seeking a molecular biologist or biochemist with hands-on lab expertise in genetics and genomics. Phase Genomics employs a number of molecular genomic tools and cutting-edge bioinformatic methods to facilitate discovery across a wide range of disciplines including microbiome, agriculture, and human genetics.

POSITION

We are looking for an organized, hard-working research associate to assist in laboratory operations and internal development efforts.  The person in this position will work within a team of skilled scientists and be expected to create various NGS libraries, manage and organize inventory, and oversee projects and production.
