Tech Venture Challenge Final Pitch April 11

The Tech Venture Challenge, hosted by Vanderbilt University’s Center for Technology Transfer & Commercialization, will conclude with the final pitch on April 11. The Tech Venture Challenge is an annual competition designed to provide networking and educational opportunities for Vanderbilt students from a variety of backgrounds including science, business, and law. Under the guidance of business mentors, the student-teams develop and present commercialization plans for Vanderbilt inventions and technologies.
There will be a networking reception after the pitches that will be a great opportunity for students and postdocs to talk with local entrepreneurs.
The three technologies pitched and teams competing this year are:
  1. Intellicane
    Inventors: Dr. Nilanjan Sarkar and Dr. Joshua Wade
    Mentor: Kei Gowda
    Team members: Mabel Sato, Francis Cambronero, Bradley Pottgeiger 
  2. S.M.A.R.T.
    Inventor: Dr. Richard O’Neil
    Mentor: Judsen Schneider
    Team members: Laura Daniel, Hannah Polikowsky, Jordan Best, Ella Hoogenboezem
  3. Cryo Cath
    Inventor:  Dr. David Merryman
    Mentor: Shawn Glinter
    Team members: Amelia Taylor, Joshua Passantino, Jasmine Greer, Andrew Naclerio
