FOCAL POINT: Lights, Lasers, and Lenses

Artwork will be shown from the ArtLab Fellows, artists, and scientists across campus, as well as from the Artist-in-residence Common iSeminar students. We will also have “Laser Talks” from a variety of artists and scientists that explore the world through the use of lights, lasers, and/or various lenses and hear about their work and process. Finally, we will have special guest Owen Murphy, an electrical engineer and hardware designer currently working at Thorlabs, cap-off the night with a laser show in the Wond’ry/Olin Atrium. This event is brought to you with the support of The Communication of Science and Technology Program, The Curb Center, The Wond’ry, VI4 (Vanderbilt Institute for Infection, Immunology and Inflammation), and Cell Imaging Shared Resources. RSVP REQUIRED: https://www.eventbrite.com/e/focal-point-lights-lasers-and-lenses-tickets-58440734811?ref=estw
