The Defense Threat Reduction Agency (DTRA) will host the 2019 Chemical and Biological Defense Science & Technology (CBD S&T) Conference at the Duke Energy Convention Center, in Cincinnati, Ohio, November 18-21, 2019. Collaborate with more than 1,500 scientists, program managers and leaders from across the globe who are committed to making the world safer by confronting chemical and biological defense challenges. Attendees will also have the opportunity to network with DTRA science and technology managers as well as other members of DTRA’s Chemical and Biological Defense team.

This is a great opportunity for someone interested in working in defense/military areas of government (either as an analyst or scientist), or someone interested in defense-related consulting.

ASPIRE travel scholarships may be available to qualified Vanderbilt trainees in the biomedical sciences to defray travel costs. Please note, you MUST apply for an ASPIRE travel scholarship BEFORE registering for the conference if you wish to receive ASPIRE funds. Be sure to review the ASPIRE travel scholarship eligibility requirements carefully at https://medschool.vanderbilt.edu/aspire/aspire-travel-scholarship-program. Notably, PhD students must be post-qualifying exam and students and postdocs must be US citizens or permanent residents to qualify for ASPIRE travel scholarship funding.

The Conference offers the opportunity to review the latest and most dynamic developments in basic and applied scientific research within the chemical and biological defense arena.
