PhD Career Stories: Jami Scheib, PhD

Come learn more about what a career as Science Officer is like. Dr. Scheib is a Molecular and Cellular Neuroscientist with fifteen years of experience at the bench. In her current role she manages DoD-funded biomedical research awards, focusing on pain management, TBI, and hearing/balance. She will discuss how she entered this particular field, what her role is and answer questions you may have about this career area.

Jami Scheib received her PhD in Molecular Neuroscience from Vanderbilt University in 2012. She then did a postdoc at Johns Hopkins University, where she studied nerve regeneration. She is currently a Science Officer at Ripple Effect, supporting the Congressionally Directed Medical Research Programs, where she manages a portfolio of research awards that focus on pain management, TBI, and hearing and balance.
