Assistant Director, Research Development, NYU Government Affairs

This position partners with the Assistant Vice President for Government Affairs, Senior Vice Provost for Research and Director of Sponsored Programs in advancing the university’s research capabilities and promoting research accomplishments. Primary goals of the position are to 1) Identify the advancement of both large university-wide and faculty-specific research funding opportunities, 2) Build and strengthen relationships and strategic partnerships with key individuals at the research funding agencies, science policy organizations and the U.S. Congress, and 3) Increase internal and external awareness of research successes at NYU to show investments in research lead to economic growth, increased health outcomes and a more educated citizenry. The position will interact internally with NYU research administrators, government affairs, public affairs and representatives of different schools throughout the university.
