Student Community Check-In: Support Space for Black-Identified Students

Posted by on Wednesday, June 3, 2020 in Announcements .

The University Counseling Center, in partnership with the Black Cultural Center (BCC) and the Student Center for Social Justice and Identity (SCSJI), has organized a Student Community Check-in.

We have intentionally planned for this to be a space for Black students to collectively share about their experiences related to recent racialized traumatic experiences—including the brutal killings of, and continued discrimination against, people in the US who identify as members of the Black and African Diaspora.

During this event, we will also discuss healthy coping skills to navigate these distressing times, and discuss ways to potentially engage social justice advocacy in meaningful ways, with respect to one’s personal bandwidth.

The details for this meeting are listed below. Please note, registration is required for the program.
