ASPIRE Module: Networking Pacing, Fall 2020
The ASPIRE Networking Pacing Module is a series designed to prepare participants to make the most of networking at an upcoming professional conference, networking event or through informational interviewing. Over the course of 8 weeks, we will break down the process of networking into approachable steps and provide real-world examples. The sessions will cover networking basics, etiquette, elevator pitches, LinkedIN, navigating conversations, event preparation, informational interviewing, and follow-up. The module will culminate in a real-world exercise in networking- attendance at a conference or relevant networking event or conducting an informational interview- where the tools and strategies learned can be put into practice. The module will wrap up with a self-guided reflection of the networking activity and developing strategies for moving forward and further developing these new professional relationships.
