Call for VSSA symposium judges

The Vanderbilt Summer Science Academy (VSSA) is looking for graduate students and post-docs to help judge posters for the VSSA 18thAnnual Student Research Symposium at the end of the summer. This symposium is specifically for undergraduate students who have been performing biomedical research at Vanderbilt this upcoming summer. The symposium will be held August 5th on gather.town.

Judges will be asked to:

  • attend a review session in to become familiar with our grading process (virtual; mid-June)
  • review and provide feedback on submitted abstracts (late June)
  • attend and review posters on at our symposium on August 5th.

We provide your feedback to our undergraduate participants so you will be impacting their careers. This is a great opportunity to give back to the young scientific community and to get involved with BRET Office student programming. If you are interested, please complete this form by Monday, May 31st. If you would like to provide additional leadership beyond judging, there is a place for you to indicate that on this form.
