Adjunct Faculty Position

Spring Semester 2022

Belmont University Department of Biology is seeking an adjunct faculty member to teach up to 12 hours in the Spring of 2022.  This could be a full time position, but could only be guaranteed for the spring semester of 2022.  Alternatively, the course load could be broken up into several part-time positions as well.  Classes will be conducted in-person.

The majority of courses to be filled are BIO2230: Human Anatomy & Physiology I.  A study of the cells and tissues as well as the skeletal, muscular, neural, and special sensory systems of the human body. Two hours lecture and 4 hours laboratory per week.

Requirements: 

  • Master’s degree or higher
  • During the application process, applicants will be asked to attach a response to Belmont University’s Mission, Vision, Values, and “Five Ways of Being” articulating how the candidate’s knowledge, experience, and beliefs have prepared him/her to contribute to a Christ-centered, student-focused university of learning, service and give a brief statement of teaching philosophy.
