Alex Nackenoff is an Equity Research Associate at Raymond James, focusing on SMid Cap Biotech companies pursuing CNS, hematology, immunology, and AAV gene therapeutic assets. He earned his Ph.D in Pharmacology from Vanderbilt University in the laboratory of Dr. Randy Blakley, studying 5-HT specific mechanisms of antidepressant drugs. Afterwards, he joined the laboratory of Dr. Matthew Schrag, member of the Vanderbilt Memory & Alzheimer’s Center in the Department of Neurology, where he studied lysosomal pathology and vascular amyloidosis in Alzheimer’s Disease. Hentered the Vanderbilt IGP program in the fall of 2009, graduated in Spring of 2016, started his job at Raymond James in 2020 (during COVID).
