The Biology Department of Thiel College invites applications for a one-year, visiting assistant professor to teach Molecular Biology, Genetics, Microbiology, and Foundations of Biology for Fall 2022 and Spring 2023.

Role Description & Responsibilities

The ideal candidate will demonstrate evidence of teaching effectiveness and support of undergraduate research projects. The successful candidate will teach 24 credit hours in the academic year and will support the overall academic program of the Department of Biology. A Ph.D. is required; ABD candidates will be considered if the defense of the degree is imminent.

Responsibilities include teaching, advising, student supervision, and professional development. While Thiel College gives highest priority to teaching effectiveness, the faculty will be expected to remain current in the field through professional development opportunities such as attendance at related conferences, research, or other scholarly activities, as well as service to the College.
