Dr. Jordan Green and Dr. Joel Sunshine are pleased to announce a postdoctoral position in immunoengineering at the Johns Hopkins University School of Medicine in the Department of Biomedical Engineering. The project is for research at the interface of immunology, nanomedicine, non-viral gene therapy, and advanced cancer therapeutics. This position offers opportunities to collaborate in multiple departments and centers including the Department of Dermatology, the Johns Hopkins Translational ImmunoEngineering Center (NCBIB), the Translational Tissue Engineering Center, the Institute for NanoBioTechnology, the Sidney Kimmel Comprehensive Cancer Center, and the Bloomberg~Kimmel Institute for Cancer Immunotherapy.

Qualifications

Candidates for the Immunoengineering Postdoctoral Fellowship will have experience in immunology, biomedical engineering, molecular biology, chemistry, and/or related disciplines. Candidates should have completed their PhD degrees within the past 3 years. Applicants should demonstrate the ability to work collaboratively on an interdisciplinary project. Excellent written and oral communication skills in English are required. Applicants should have experience with cell culture, flow cytometry, and cellular characterization. Applicants with additional experience in molecular immunology, animal experiments, nanoparticles, polymer chemistry, nucleic acid engineering and/or therapeutic development are encouraged to apply. Women and candidates from backgrounds that are typically under-represented in sciences and engineering are strongly encouraged to apply.

This position is currently open and will remain open until filled. The position is initially for 12 months with the expectation of annual renewals for up to 4 years. Compensation will be commensurate with relevant experience.
