Elon University and the Biology Department invite applications for a tenure-track position teaching courses in support of the biology and neuroscience programs, beginning in August 2023. The ideal candidate will have a Ph.D. in a biological science with an active neuroscience research program, preferably utilizing a non-mammalian model. Primary teaching responsibilities will include human anatomy and physiology, and neurophysiology. Additional teaching responsibilities may include an upper-level elective within Elon’s neuroscience program as well as science for non-majors and participation in Elon’s Core Curriculum. Curricular advising, service to the university, and continued professional activity involving undergraduate researchers are expected. Individuals with strong experience in neurobiology and a proven commitment to excellence in teaching are encouraged to apply. Candidates who have experience working with a diverse range of people and who can contribute to the climate of inclusivity are encouraged to identify their experiences in their cover letter.
