Registration is now open for the NIH Career Symposium. The NIH Career Symposium highlights the diversity of career choices available to biomedical researchers today.  This is a great opportunity for biomedical graduate students and postdocs/fellows to plan a professional future and gain practical advice to hit the job market.

Are you interested in doing a postdoc at NIH? Make sure to attend the session on May 10 at 3 PM to learn about Postdocs at the NIH and chat directly with faculty with current postdoc openings.

Over 250 speakers for you to network with professionals in a variety of jobs—which should help you identify your career of interest and the steps to be a competitive candidate.

There will be a workshop on Why Career Choices are so Hard on Tuesday afternoon, and a workshop on Wednesday on Current Hiring Trends. Wednesday will also have a session just for Visiting Fellows to address their unique career needs, a session on Career Transitions (i.e., can you really go from industry back to academics?), data to debunk myths around faculty positions (i.e., do you really need to have a K99?), and a session on Building you careers by bringing your whole self to the process.
