Job Opportunity: Clinical Scientist, Cumberland Pharmaceuticals, Nashville, TN

Broad Function:
This position is office based, located corporate headquarters in the Product Development department.
Responsibilities include preparation and review of key clinical and scientific documents associated
with the Company’s 1) branded product portfolio and 2) pipeline of new medicines for the future,
which are primarily designed to address unmet medical needs.
Responsible for researching, authoring, compiling and reviewing scientific, non-clinical and clinical
information for various industry documents. Includes the preparation of such information for
presentation, publications and regulatory submissions. Also responsible for implementation, planning,
and execution of assigned clinical trial activities.

Principal Responsibilities:
Research Activities (liaise with corporate Clinical Operations and Regulatory Affairs):
▪ Draft and assist with preparation of scientific and clinical information for IND and other
submissions to FDA, related to both existing and new product candidates.
▪ Help identify clinical and nonclinical research sites, design the needed study related
documents and oversee their research activities.
▪ Independently lead, plan and execute trial activities for multiple non-clinical and clinical
studies.
▪ Conduct and oversee activities related to data generation and validation, including Case
Report Form design, clinical data review, query resolution to ensure high quality data.
▪ Assume responsibility for the activities and special projects as assigned in support of the
company’s product development and regulatory initiatives.

Degree Requirements:

B.S. degree in Life Sciences required – Advance Medical/Scientific Degree
preferred.

Experience Requirements:

2+ years of experience in clinical research, science or development

▪ Proficient knowledge of relevant disease areas including, compounds, indications and KOLs

▪ Adaptable / Flexible – willing and able to adjust to multiple demands and shifting priorities as well
as an ability to meet day-to-day challenges with confidence and professionalism

Travel Requirements:

Domestic and international travel may be required (approximately 10%)
