Teaching opportunity at Columbia State Community College (microbiology) for spring 2024

Columbia State Community College currently has an opening for a synchronous, live streaming (either Zoom or Microsoft Teams) course on Monday and Wednesday evenings for spring 2024. Course description: An introductory study of the morphology, physiology, pathogenicity, and control of bacteria. Also included are vertebrate immunology with particular emphasis on the components of the immune system and antigen-antibody interactions. The laboratory emphasizes the isolation and culture of bacteria using quantitative and diagnostic techniques.

Lecture Hours: 3 hrs. lecture Lab Hours: 2 hrs. lab.
The instructor will meet with students two times/week for the Spring 2024 semester to lecture and guide them through the distance learning lab materials through Hands on Labs.  Instructional materials will be provided for the lab portion of the course and the instructor will be assigned a mentor to assist with questions throughout the semester.
