As part of this commitment, our Johnson & Johnson Research & Development team initiated the Johnson & Johnson Scholars of Diversity Engagement Program (J&J SDEP) to build relationships with exceptional Ph.D. students, medical students, Pharm.D. students, and post-doctoral researchers from underrepresented groups as defined in the eligibility section. We aim to contribute to shaping their careers and to bringing greater visibility to our job opportunities by providing industry exposure and mentorship in partnership with R&D leaders at J&J.
Applications are being accepted for the following therapeutic areas:
Scholars of Immunology Diversity Engagement Program (SIDEP): Accepting applications beginning February 2024
Scholars of Oncology Diversity Engagement Program (SODEP): Accepting applications beginning June 2024
Each program has two steps including Exposure and Mentorship.
Johnson & Johnson Immunology will host a virtual Immunology Day on April 30, 2024. This is a unique opportunity to be exposed to the R&D process within the pharmaceutical industry for immune-mediated diseases and understand the critical skillsets needed for a successful industry career. If you are interested in attending, please see the “Apply to attend J&J Immunology Day” tab. Deadline for applications is April 16, 2024. Highlights of Johnson & Johnson Immunology Day will include:
- Formal presentations given by Johnson & Johnson Immunology scientific and strategic leaders highlighting the many roles available for scientists and physicians in immunology drug development.
- Smaller breakout sessions with Johnson & Johnson Immunology leaders to facilitate more in-depth dialogue about what success looks like in industry, transferable skills from academia to industry, etc.
