Description:
The NFB annually offers scholarships to blind college students in the United States and Puerto Rico, to recognize achievement by blind scholars.
Eligibility:
Applicants must:
- Be legally blind (PDF) in both eyes.
- Be residing in the United States, the District of Columbia, or Puerto Rico.
- Be 18 years of age by July 5, 2023.
- Be pursuing or planning to pursue a full-time, postsecondary course of study in a degree program at a United States institution, except that one scholarship may be given to a person employed full-time while attending school part-time.
- Participate in the entire NFB national convention and in all scheduled scholarship program activities.
Award amount:
- $8,000.
- Scholarship winners will receive assistance to attend the National Federation of the Blind Annual Convention.
