ASPIRE Up: Navigating Your Career Choices
As a kickoff to our our new workshop series ASPIRE Up: A Career and Professional Development Series for Biomedical Science Trainees the ASPIRE Program will be hosting Lauren Celano, CEO and Co-founder of Propel Careers for an interactive 3-hour session on “Navigating Your Career Choices”
This interactive three hour workshop will help you structure an effective career exploration process and ultimately a career search. We will first focus on important questions to ask yourself in order to identify “drivers” that can influence career choices. Once identified, we will work through how to leverage these drivers to help you identify career areas relevant for your interests. We will then work through how to identify organizations relevant to your interests and also how to identify role and titles that are a fit for your interests. We will also discuss timing for all of these activities and how to track progress, focus your time and lessen the feeling of being overwhelmed.
