Molecular Biology Research Scientist, Assay Development

Verici Dx pairs leading edge laboratory science with artificial intelligence to create innovative clinical tools. We have validated multiple leading-edge prognostic tests and continue to innovate to develop a complementary suite of tests forming an organ transplant platform for personalized patient and organ response risk to assist clinicians in medical management for improved patient outcomes.

The Company also has a mission to accelerate the pace of innovation by supporting research using the fully characterized data from the underlying technology and in collaboration with medical device, biopharmaceutical and data science partners. We are singularly focused on providing insights that inform the path to overall graft survival and successful outcomes for patients.

We are seeking a skilled scientist in molecular biology, transcriptomics and proteomics to define and perform laboratory procedures and data analysis for development of an array of next generation sequencing-based in vitro diagnostic tests. The ideal candidate will be proficient in advanced transcriptomic and proteomic techniques such as isolation of extracellular vesicles, nucleic acid extraction, library preparation, pcr, QC, and next gen sequencing. The incumbent will collaborate with other scientists to plan, design, and execute experimental studies, analyse, write reports/summaries, and communicate results from these studies, and engage in effective decision-making process.

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Support strategic planning and documentation for the design and development of novel and innovative laboratory clinical tests in solid organ transplant and related fields.
  • Develop protocols for specimen processing and analysis and organize experimental plans to be performed adhering to defined timelines.
  • Conduct analysis of blood, urine, or tissue to determine expression levels of genes and profiles of proteins of interest.
  • Perform quality controls during experimental procedures according to protocols and report deviations and observations.
  • Analyze experimental results using statistical tools.
  • Review test results, maintain legible work records, document findings in reports, prepare and present summaries of data and findings.
  • Participate in meetings internally and with external stakeholders.
  • Collaborate cross functionally with clinical and data science experts and associates to ensure team success.
  • Contribute to scientific presentations and manuscripts preparation.
  • Perform routine laboratory tasks, such as biorepository storage organization and record keeping, instrument maintenance and basic calibration, ordering of reagents and supplies.
